Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has pledged ₹5 crore towards relief efforts in Punjab, which is currently battling one of the worst floods in decades. The actor stressed that his contribution should not be seen as a donation, but as an act of sewa (selfless service).
Sharing his thoughts, Akshay said, “I am giving ₹5 crores for buying relief material for the Punjab flood victims, but who am I to ‘donate’ to anyone? For me, it’s my sewa, my very small contribution.”
