₹30,000 Crore Property Dispute of Sanjay Kapoor Hits Delhi High Court
The property of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and her ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor is making headlines once again. The dispute revolves around a massive estate worth nearly ₹30,000 crores, leading to a high-profile legal battle in the Delhi High Court.
On Friday, the courtroom atmosphere turned tense when two senior lawyers engaged in a heated argument during the proceedings. The video of this courtroom clash has since gone viral on social media, further intensifying the controversy.
Heated Argument Between Lawyers
The clash erupted between Rajiv Nair, representing Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Priya Sachdeva Kapoor, and Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma Kapoor.
According to reports, while Nair was presenting his arguments, Jethmalani attempted to intervene. To this, Nair firmly responded:
> “Please do not interrupt me. I am not used to interrupting you.”
In retaliation, Jethmalani hit back saying:
> “You should taste your own medicine and should not shout at me. You interrupted me. Don’t shout at me, have some manners.”
The courtroom exchange quickly escalated, with Jethmalani adding:
> “If you shout, you will have to pay the price. I am not going to give up easily.”
This fiery debate has now become a talking point across legal and entertainment circles alike.
Karisma Kapoor’s Children Demand Share in Property
Karisma Kapoor was Sanjay Kapoor’s second wife, and together they have two children — Samaira and Kian. Both children have now approached the Delhi High Court, claiming their rightful share in their late father’s property.
According to them, they were initially informed that they were excluded from Sanjay Kapoor’s will and that all the property was under the RK Family Trust.
However, things took a dramatic turn when a mysterious will dated 21 March 2025 surfaced weeks later, raising suspicions about its authenticity.
Allegations Against Priya Sachdeva
Karisma’s children and their legal team have alleged that Priya Sachdeva deliberately concealed documents and key information related to the will.
They argue that Priya had earlier stated there was no will, only to later produce one. This inconsistency has raised serious doubts, further complicating the already high-stakes case.
Priya Sachdeva’s Counterclaim
Adding another twist, Priya Sachdeva informed the court that Samaira and Kian had already received assets worth ₹1,900 crores from the family trust before filing the case.
This revelation has made the case even more complex, as it pits inheritance rights against prior trust distributions.
What Lies Ahead in the High-Profile Case?
The ₹30,000 crore estate dispute has now become one of the biggest inheritance battles in Bollywood history. The matter will continue to be heard in the Delhi High Court, with both sides determined to prove their claims.
For Karisma Kapoor’s children, the fight is not just about money, but also about recognition in their late father’s will. For Priya Sachdeva, the case is about defending her late husband’s wishes and protecting her position as his surviving spouse.
